Green and sustainable energy planning in ports

MHTech has been awarded support from Innovation Norway for a preliminary project that will define a main project for an innovation contract, with a major Norwegian port or shipowner for the development of a software service.

The Port of Moss is involved in this project as a competence partner, and wants to contribute what we can to be able to make the port greener and more sustainable. The project involves using data to simulate the operation of vessels in order to be able to measure and map the effect and need for charging of shore power in ports.

YES TO GREEN SHIPPING!
Green shipping can become an important competitive advantage and give the maritime industry a unique growth opportunity in international markets. By developing new zero- and low-emission solutions for maritime transport, Norway can make an important contribution to global climate and environmental work

PROUD PARTNER
We are a proud partner in this project, and want to be a pilot for testing and implementation. We are in good company together with MHTech, Flowchange, SAMS Norway, Viken Technology Cluster and Grieg Connect. Overall, the companies have great national activity, but are firmly rooted locally in our region.  The participation in this project is another effect of our Smart Moss Harbor initiative. Through the program, we have made many good contacts which means that we are used as competence partners and test site in several projects, says harbor master Øystein Høsteland Sundby.
