The SETS II project wants to contribute to the regions' ports switching to electricity more quickly and thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
The project also wants the very “environmentally heavy” ports to be highlighted as positive role models. One way to do this is to find and use effective, environmentally friendly solutions.
By working across borders in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, the actors can share each other's resources and knowledge in the area. The collaboration is also intended to result in an opportunity to spread the project's results as widely as possible.
One of the goals during the three-year project period is that there should be an electrification strategy that all ports involved must implement into concrete solutions. Another goal is for there to be a substantial reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from the ports participating in the project.
